  • Do bring a blanket if your like me and you get cold easily definitely grab yourself one. I had to grab one on the second day of my trip when i realized how cold it was going to be. They kept the AC on blast i was freezing meanwhile it was 80 degrees outside felt like 40 inside.

  • Bring some comfy slippers if you are going on a long trip overnight or will be on the train a few days trust me you will thank me later otherwise you’ll be like most people uncomfortably sleeping with their shows on and you dont want that.

  • If you want to bring food on the train buy something that’s not fried preferably like grilled chicken, steak, sandwiches and non perishable food. The food in the train Cafe can be super expensive the candy in the train store is like movie theater prices. Bring cup noodles if you like them you can always ask for hot water for it in the cafe or bring a portable kettle cup i just got recently so i can travel with to keep my tea hot and heat up water if i need to. You may or may not have access to the dining room area for meals this can vary each trip.

  • Bring a battery pack. The charger outlet is inconveniently placed by the window so if you are sitting with the stranger you both with have to share the outlet and one of you is going to have a strangers phone cord stretched across your body depending on the length of the cord it can be a little awkward.
